To improve the interaction and flow of information between science and policy, COS holds workshops and training courses for ocean and coastal decision makers in the private and public sectors. These programs provide attendees with an up-to-date understanding of relevant science, technology, and policy, and engage participants in applying this information in problem solving. COS hopes to foster discussion and build networks between scientists and various decision makers, who can work together over time to confront challenges and achieve solutions for our oceans.
